Also, consider attending our New Report Card & A-G Graduation Requirements parent workshop on Friday, November 3rd at 8:30am to find out how supporting your child's progress now will help to keep them on track to graduate both college and career ready.

Are you proud to be a Dolphin?  You have every reason to be.  Here is one more! 
 

 

This spring, School Board Member Dr. Richard Vladovic, Superintendent Michelle King, Local District Superintendent Christopher Downing, and Councilman Joe Buscaino, awarded Principal Dayna Wells the elementary school STEM HERO IN EDUCATION award for the work being done at Point Fermin Marine Science Magnet.  The award was given "for cultivating a generation of educators and students whom have gone above and beyond to advocate for the importance of science, technology, engineering, and math education in a school setting. 


 

 

The California Senate and Los Angeles Unified School District commended our school for receiving the award.

Birthday Treat/Uniform Policy Reminder:

We love birthdays, but we do not celebrate birthdays at school. Please do not send any type of edible treats on your child's birthday for the classroom. You can send books for the teacher, pencils, stickers, or writers notebooks.

Also, please follow school uniform policies. Please do not send children wearing costumes or props. No goodie bags, balloons or toys are allowed. Thank you for following all school rules and ensuring a safe and healthy environment for all children.

Cell phone devices are to remain in the off position and stored in backpacks during the school day. Devices that are on, out of backpacks or in use will be taken to the principal's office. Parents will have to come to school to retrieve them. The school takes no responsibility for cell phones, electronics or technology brought to school.
