Shelly Lopez, School Administrative Assistant





Ellen Warkentine ("Miss W") earned her M.Ed from UCLA in 2007 and her BA in Theatre and Film Studies from UCI in 2005. She was a classroom teacher for two years before joining the Arts Branch. Miss W is a performer and composer with Four Larks Theatre, an Ovation-Award winning experimental opera group based in DTLA. She has performed, composed, and musical directed for The Garage Theatre in Long Beach, CA. Favorite roles include Mrs. Peachum in The Garage Theatre's production of Threepenny Opera (2014) and Diana in Four Lark's The Temptation of St. Antony (Re-opening at the end of August!) 


Miss W is deeply passionate about the power of theatre and imaginative play to create engaging, interdisciplinary, and meaningful learning experiences. Theatre teaches literacy, empathy, critical thinking, and MAGIC. She is looking forward to making that magic with the students and staff at Pt. Fermin this upcoming school year! 




BINO VARGHESE, M S CCC-SLP is a licensed and certified Speech Language Pathologist who earned bachelors and master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology and Audiology from India, Bangalore University. Mr. Varghese hold a certificate of Clinical competence and also a member of the American Speech and Hearing Association (ASHA).  He has experience working with infants, pre-school and school age children having receptive language disorders, expressive language disorders, articulation, phonological processing, oral motor functioning disorders, fluency and pragmatic language disorders. Through these experiences, "Mr. Bino" says, "I developed a passion for working with school kids and a desire to grow professionally in a school setting."  


When with family, Mr. Bino loves reading books, watching movies and driving to different places with his wife and their little princess.
