Dolphin Drop Off! 

Come out in the mornings and help us open doors.  Literally!  Help us welcome dolphins to a new day at Point Fermin.

The Dolphin Dig

In February of 2020, just 2 weeks before the stay at home order of  COVID-19,  our PTO sponsored a huge Fundraising Event in our new Edible Garden: THE DOLPHIN DIG! Students worked in the new Edible Garden on campus and planted seedlings they grew from seeds in their classrooms with the help of PTO volunteers.  The Dolphin Dig Fundraiser was held on Feb 29, 2020.  It was called Leap into the Garden 2020.  With the help of the PTO and www.getmovinfundhub.com we raised over $14,000 for our school.  We could not have done this without the many many PTO volunteers!  We had planting helpers, craft booths, art stations, rock painting, free food from Whole Foods Market, Starbucks Coffee and lots of fun . With the funds raised we were able to put that money directly back in to the garden at the end of 2020 by providing the funds to install  a solar powered irrigation system. It was completed in January 2021.  This will ensure the garden will thrive for years to come.  As students are able to return to campus in the coming year we will definitely have another DOLPHIN DIG to replant the entire garden!  Join us and be a part of the success of Point Fermin Elementary!

PTO MISSION STATEMENT

To bring closer relationships between the home and the school so that parents, teachers, school administrators, and the community may cooperate collectively in the education of children.
